Released on PS1 platform, Bishi Bashi Special is a compilation of crazy mini-games, testing players' reflexes, created by Konami and released in 2000 in Europe. The Old Continent version of the production contains all the content of two productions released only in Japan - the title with the same name from 1998 and its debut one year later continuation of Bishi Bashi Special 2. In total, the game offers more than eighty variants of fun.
Mechanics
All available in Bishi Bashi Special on PS1 mini-games are characterized by very simple and highly humorous rules of play. They use the three fall buttons and require a quick reflex from the player. Among the available 'disciplines' one can find such competitions as: transforming several aircraft into one robot on time; throwing, as a bride, cake into guests in church; shooting uncles with cannon; eating food as fast as possible.
Each game can be played simultaneously by two players. Production also offers the function of creating tournaments for up to eight participants. In the case of an odd number of applicants, the gap is filled with an opponent controlled by artificial intelligence.
Technical issues
Bishi Bashi Special on PS1 features simple, two-dimensional graphics in manga style. The visual setting of the production was created in a humorous, in the case of most modes of play very conventional, style.

Bishi Bashi (ビシバシチャンプ, Bishi Bashi Chanpu) is a series of Konamivideo games for arcades, mobile phones, PlayStation and Windows. All games in the series comprise playing through a wide variety of competitive minigames against other players. The arcade games support 1 to 6 players[1] and the PlayStation game allows 1 to 8 players; the game will provide computer opponents if there are not enough players.
Arcade games[edit]
The arcade games released so far include:[2]

- Super Bishi Bashi Champ[1] and Handle Champ in 1998
- Hyper Bishi Bashi, Gachaga Champ, Step Champ and Hyper Bishi Bashi Champ[3] in 1999

- Great Bishi Bashi Champ in 2002

The arcade game controls are very simple; each player has a red, green and blue button, positioned left, centre and right respectively. Each minigame explains its controls before play commences. Some titles of the series, however, make use of a steering wheel (Handle Champ), two joysticks (Gachaga Champ) or a dance pad (Step Champ) for the controls instead of the 3 buttons.
Back in my pre-William Bloke days, 'purpose,' 'passion,' 'intensity,' and 'soul' were the words I put to Bragg's music. Fun came out of the experience of hearing all those other aspects put to practice. But this is the new me, the post-William Bloke me, and fun is in the forefront of my Billy Bragg experience. I've been a BB fan since 1988, when a friend lent me a tape that contained 'Back to Basics' and 'Talking With the Taxman About Poetry.' For some reason, I passed on 'William Bloke' when it first came out. But I'm very glad it's part of my collection now. If you like Billy, You'll love this album.
